Tried and tested VEGAN flapjack! Ridiculously EASY, insanely delicious!
This recipe is ace if you are looking for a quick and easy sweet pick-me-up and it only takes 10 minutes to prep and 30minutes to cook with only 6 ingredients needed! ﴾͡๏̯͡๏﴿ O'RLY?
I found this recipe on the BBC GoodFood website where I get many of my vegan cooking and baking ideas:
Whenever I am looking for a new recipe to try, BBC is my go-to and they haven’t failed me yet!
Below are the ingredients and my progression images. If your are looking for any more details go to their website. ^^^
Let’s Go!
Ingredients-
140g dairy-free spread (I used Vitalite)
140g soft light brown sugar
2tbsp golden syrup
175g rolled oats (I used a mixture of oats and muesli)
75g chopped nuts of your choice (I used walnuts, cashews and almonds)
75g dried fruit (I used raisins)
1. Put the sugar, syrup and dairy free spread in a saucepan
Stir on a medium heat until melted/ combined
2. Add in the oats, nuts (chopped to preferred size) and dried fruit and mix until well combined
3. Put all mixture into a square cake tin (I used a round one as I didn’t have the correct size) and put it in the oven for 30 minutes (160c/ 140 fan/ gas 4)
4. Take the flapjack out of the pan/tin once cooled and ENJOY ( ͡ᵔ ͜ʖ ͡ᵔ )
BEHIND THE SCENES-
^^^Still managed to find and steal some leftovers from the pan (っ˘ڡ˘ς)
My family LOVE this recipe and it takes no time at all which is very handy when the demands start to come in.
