TK Maxx Clothing Haul- First Time Clothes Shopping Since Covid-19 Lockdown!!!

Updated: Dec 28, 2020

Apart from the odd food shop with my mum, I haven’t shopped at all in about 3 months- sad times. But I finally ventured to TK Maxx and honestly, what a life saver, I don‘t care what ANYBODY says- retail therapy fixes ALL problems.

You can shop online here: https://www.tkmaxx.com/uk/en/ for TK Maxx if you’re still not ready to brave the Corona world.

Altogether I spent £47.05 for 5 items (and a 10p bag) which works out at about £9.41 per item which is fab. I mean I need to look good when I start uni in September ya know.

The only down side at the moment with clothes shopping is that changing rooms are closed but luckily all of my clothes fit perfectly!

If any of you still haven’t gone shopping then things aren’t that different. There are markers on the floor, as I said changing rooms aren’t open, there are screens at the tills and you have to queue outside if the shop is too busy. I went early so I had no problem getting in- I didn’t have to queue.

Below I am going to go through what I bought, how much each individual item cost as well as providing you with your classic bedroom photoshoot to show off my new buys.

‘Urban Gypsy’ Summer Dress. £16.99. Size UK XS

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this summer dress. The material is super soft and light- which is good if you get sweaty betty like me in the hot weather and it fits really well. This was the most expensive item out of everything I brought but it was definitely worth it.

‘Berksha’ Summer Playsuit. £7.99. Size UK S

This is a super cute outfit again for the hot weather as the material is light and breathable. It’s really comfy and would be great or the beach. On the Berksha website these types of play suits sell for about £20 so I got it for a great prIce.

’Berksha’ Denim Dress. £5.99. UK S

This is a really good buy as it is could be worn in hot or chilly weather. Either wear it as above or pair it with a long sleeve t shirt/ sweatshirt with a pair of tights and boots for when it gets cooler. I like the little surprise strips on the side because its like ‘yeah, I am normal white dress’ and then BAM ‘check out my sexy stripes‘. On the Berksha website these types of dresses go for about £20 so I was pretty pleased with how much I bought it for.

’Stradivarius’ Tailoured Trousers. £5.99. Size UK 26 inch

I managed to find the website/designer and the prices for these types of trousers are about £20 so I got a bargain. In TK Maxx they labelled them as a size 10 which I think is wrong as I am a size 6/8 (depending on where I shop) and my typical jean size is a 26 inch waist which typically matches with a size 6. But I love these because they are so versatile. You could wear them formally with a button up shirt and loafers, you could dress them down with a t shirt and trainers or you could dress the up with heels and nice top with a suede coat. I think this was my favourite buy!

‘Berksha’ Bomber Jacket. £9.99. Size UK S

Maybe not with this outfit ( I was too lazy to change) but I think it looks really nice. Very casual with a bit of an extra with the stripes which makes it easier to colour match your outfits. Super comfy and light weight. on the official Berksha website the jackets go for about £20-£25 so again saved some £££.
