First Month at Uni!!!

Updated: May 14, 2023

Hey everyone, long time no see! Sorry for the absence but I have moved to uni. All the way to Scotland to study English and Philosophy. Now that I am settled in I am hoping to start blogging again (as much as possible) as uni work is very demanding. A lot has happened already since I have moved which is insane and I honestly can’t believe how well I have settled in.

Here is what I have been up to...

Moving Day!!!-

We set off at about 9:30am ( after saying farewell to my dog and my sister) as my time slot to arrive and unpack was at 3pm. On the way up I read a bit of my book, annoyed the hell out of my Mum and Step dad- due to pure giddiness- and we stopped off a couple of times on the way for the essentials... you know, coffeeeee.

^^^Raring to go with my uni of Dundee tote bag

^^^ this picture literally means nothing. Suppose you can class it as evidence that I went on the motorway or something

^^^ and yes I really did pack everything I own. I’m gonna be there for 4 years alright ;)

Surprisingly, I did manage to fit all of this in my accommodation- just...

What my flat looked like when I first arrived-

I am staying in the on campus accommodation at the uni and I am sharing with 4 other girls. Everything I need is approx a ten minute walk away which is mint. Ive got Lidl down the road (GET IN) and a Tesco Extra about 20mins away. Bloody brilliant.

There is a nice big shopping centre too with loads of cafes and restaurants.

^^^ Mother wouldn’t stop taking pictures hehe

^^^literally dumped and ditched as I went out for tea which is more important than unpacking 100%

^^^ en-suite bathroom- pretty good shower too

^^^ little (or should I say ‘wee’) seating/ dining area

^^^ Kitchen- one of the best places- because of food Duh.

Will you be uploading a blog about easy student meals I hear you say... well I might do.

What my room looks like now...

^^^ This is pretty much what my room looks like on a daily basis. Pretty sure it is going to stay like this. Under my bed are storage boxes for makeup, jewellry and stationary. Down the side and right under the bed are my moving boxes, shopping bags and suitcase. The desk is super big and my office chair is nice and comfy for studying in. And of course- the bookshelf. It has all of my fave books on their from my old room- yes, all 80 something of them. I mean I did leave about 40 at home.

My Birthday-

Believe it or not it was 19th birthday a week after I arrived and my flat mates surprised me with a party!!! We couldn’t got out of anything due to covid so we had a boogie in the flat instead and ordered dominos.

^^^ surprised me in my pjs aha

^^^ all tarted up for my flat mates lol

Halloween Prep-

^^^SPOOKY SEASON!!!

Views/scenery/days out-

I have done so much stuff!!! This is just a handle full of photos. Lovely walks at the water front. Been to cafes and tasted the most amazing coffee. The V&A is just lovely and me and my flat have managed to squeeze a couple of nights out by booking a table at our on campus pub. The city is beautiful day and night. There are lots of vegan cafe’s and restaurants which is so good (all the food below is vegan) and its tastes sooooo gooooddddd.

And finally, I guess this is what you an call a behind the scenes moment...

I hope you enjoyed this little summary of my time in Dundee so far- and no, I don’t have a Scottish accent yet. I am hoping to start blogging again but I have piles of essays and reading up to my ears.

Thank you all, stay safe, keep smiling and keep being typically untypical
